Hello out there...

Hello Family & Friends!
We have had a busy few months! Delaney is doing wonderful! She is a pure joy and we love every minute with her. What is new? Well...she started school (mom's day out) once a week and she loves it! It is so cute to see her walk into her class and join right in with the other kids and when I pick her up she'll tell me what she did that day...sing, swing, talked about Jonah, etc... Each month they focus on one bible story and their craft goes along with it each week. Her favorite thing she's made so far is a big fish that is two-sided and stapled together (except for the mouth). She has a figurine of Jonah on a popsicle stick and she can put him inside the fish. Her favorite part of the story of course is when the fish spits Jonah out which she loves to imitate for you. We have a new swing set and Delaney loves it! I think she swings every day that it isn't too cold or raining! She can also climb up the ladder by herself and loves to go down the slide on her belly! For the first week she had it, every morning she wanted to see her swing as soon as she got out of bed! So, I would open the blinds and she'd say "there it is!" Laney's swing!" (she refers to herself a lot as "Laney") By the way, she talks all of the time...and I mean all of the time. Her speech is well over a 3-year old level and she cracks us up most of the time. She is really into pretend play too, whether it is cooking, playing Barbies, dressing up in her Minnie or Cinderella dress, or playing with Mickey & Minnie and re-enacting an episode of Mickey's Clubhouse. She has quite the imagination. She also loves to play her instruments and make music, watch Little Einsteins and Mickey of course. I am surprised that she is still so into Mickey and Minnie, but she still loves them. In fact right now she is snuggled up with Minnie, sound asleep.

We've started attending a new church and Delaney loves going there as well. She is very social and everyone just loves her! It has been great to be back in church and we really like the people and the teaching. God is always faithful! We are thankful to have found our new church.

Delaney had surgery on the outer muscles of both of her eyes on October 9. She did very well with surgery and her eyes look great! They are much straighter and have healed well. We are glad we made the decision to go ahead and have it done. She'll have another post-op appointment in December to be sure both eyes have healed and to see how they look.

For Halloween Delaney is going to be a dog. If you ask her her name, it is usually "Lady & the Tramp". Sometimes she says Bingo though. I found a cute dog costume at Target (of course). She likes to wear it and pretend she is Tank. I don't think he is as amused as she is though. Tonight she put one of her play necklaces on him and a hat. He is a good sport though.

Well, I'll update again later in the week with pictures of her trick or treating. We hope everyone is doing well. Continue to keep our sweet little Delaney in your prayers!

Love,
William, Susan & Delaney
