Happy March!

We in the Jones household are doing well. Delaney is recovering well from the rotovirus that she had last week. She became very sick and was hospitalized for 24 hours for fluids. Thankfully now she is pretty much back to herself. She did lose some weight, which is always of concern with her, but hopefully she will gain it back and then some as we take a day at a time. Other than being so sick for about 5 days, she is doing fantastic! She talks all of the time now and mostly what she says is very clear. She will even say thank-you, welcome, and sorry and uses them correctly.

What does she like to do? She plays with her Little People house (she loves it when we play that the dog chases the cat), cooking in her kitchen and eating soup, drinking coffee (pretend, except for the occasional sip of Mommy's mocha from Starbucks), reading her books, building a tent in the living room, and coloring. Our days are filled with music, playing, watching her Little Einstein & Mickey DVDs, reading books, and feeding Tank (she actually brings me his bowl, puts his food in, and takes it back). She is such a delight and I treasure every moment with her. She likes to "help mommy" now and is certainly a full-blown toddler these days and occasionally will have a temper tantrum when she doesn't get her way! She is a complete joy and a very sweet little girl.

Tuesday she will have a CT scan and follow-up visit with her neurologist. We are sure Dr. Smith will be pleased with Delaney's progress and hope that the CT scan will look even better than the last one six months ago. We will also find out her weight and height.

Other than her visit to Riley on Tuesday and OT on Thursday, we should have a nice quiet week. I'll post again later this week after her doctor's appointment.

Thank you all for your continued love and prayers for our precious little Delaney Grace.

Love,
William, Susan & Miss Delaney
